Red Eye Chicago has an interesting photo collection of LeBron James complaining to the referees during his time with the Miami Heat over 1+ seasons in South Beach. A lot of people might take this as a sign that ‘Bron is always bickering with the officials over calls, and its ironic because he gets a lot of trips to the line, but bitching at the referees has been an NBA pastime for time immortal.

With the relatively recent rule expanding the criteria needed for referees to assess technicals, players have to be on better behavior. But, they still flip out all the time about a perceived missed call, and you can almost see the progression as superstars do their initial tantrum, then calm down in time to avoid the Technical.

LeBron is no different in this respect than any other NBA star that deserves to get the benefit of the doubt during ambivalent foul situations. MJ was the king of this, and Rasheed Wallace was the worst.
